The premiere of Living Archive’s film to celebrate the work of the MKDC’s Archaeological Unit, centred around a roundtable discussion with former members of the Unit who discussed their work and some of their key finds.

MKDC’s Archaeology Unit was the largest such unit in any of the New Towns and their work built on key earlier work by Sir Frank Markham and the Wolverton and District Archaeological Society. The wide-ranging discussion amongst the team covered matters such as the key finds and the way in which the Unit operated, including providing invaluable summer holiday experience to students (who originally had to go to the Corporation’s headquarters at Wavendon every Friday for their pay packets!).
