Discover St Breward
The Memorial Hall, Limehead, St Breward, Cornwall, PL30 4LU
Come along to our free launch event and discover the rich heritage of St Breward. Whether your interest is local families, farming, archaeology, historic buildings, granite quarrying and industry, or simply finding out more about this fascinating Cornish parish, there will be plenty to explore.
At the heart of the project is a new illustrated map linking more than 30 places of interest across the parish. Take away a free printed copy and follow the trail for yourself, or explore from home through our growing online archive of photographs, historic maps and documents, films, aerial and 360° views, audio recordings, family history and much more.
The project brings places together with the people who lived and worked here, their homes, occupations, social life and memories. New material and discoveries will continue to be added – and perhaps you can add to the story too. Bring along your own memories, photographs, family connections or local knowledge and talk to us.
Members of our History and Family History groups will be on hand throughout the afternoon to help, demonstrate the project and answer questions. Entry and refreshments are free... and there will be cake!
