Downham Market .. Town Hall Photography Exhibition

The photography exhibition on the ground floor of the town hall depicts the Heritage Open Day “Architecture” theme perfectly. All the photographs have been taken by the Downham & District U3A Photography For Fun Group.
With such a vast selection of buildings and architecture to choose from in the town, it was up to group members to vote for the 20 photographs on display.
This group of amateur photographers meets monthly to learn photography principles and tips for smartphones and digital SLR cameras. The majority of photos in the exhibition were taken in the last month or two. The group regularly visits National Trust properties, towns and gardens to develop their photography skills.
The Photography For Fun Group and Art Circle have collaborated with a selection of the photographs being transformed in to Art.
Visit the Art exhibition upstairs and the Photography exhibition downstairs. Don’t be afraid to ask questions about the exhibits or the history of the buildings they depict. You may pick up some tips on how to improve your photography.
