The Vintage Agricultural display on the Town Hall Car Park will replicate the agricultural machinery dealers of Downham Market and District from the 1950's to the present day.
Downham Market is a Town built on the past profits from farming the productive fens, the marshes and high lands surrounding the town. This was made possible by the intervention of tractors and machinery to help till the land to its full potential.
The display takes us back to those halcyon days some 30 to 50 years ago, with display boards, tractors and machinery, remembering machinery dealers like R.S. Bennett, Bexwell Tractors, Frank J Nunn, Cawlishaws, West Norfolk Tractors and B.W. Mack Machinery.
