Dronfield Community Archive

Step back in time and uncover the stories of Dronfield and its surrounding communities through a remarkable local history archive built over more than 30 years. Managed by the Dronfield Heritage Trust and housed in the Manor Library, the collection contains over 12,000 photographs alongside a wealth of historical records, documents and publications.

From bustling streets and local businesses to family life and community events, the archive offers a unique glimpse into Dronfield's rich heritage. Whether you're searching for familiar faces, forgotten places or simply love discovering local stories, there's something for everyone to explore.

This event offers an opportunity to view the archive which is normally available by appointment only.

Our friendly volunteer team will be on hand throughout the event to share their knowledge, chat about some of the archive's most interesting finds and answer your questions. If you've ever thought about getting involved, they'll also be happy to tell you more about volunteering opportunities and how you can help preserve and celebrate Dronfield's heritage for future generations.
