Dunham Lawn Tennis Club is celebrating 105 years of history and is opening up the grounds including the Car Park, Tennis Courts and Club House, to play tennis and for refreshments, including a small exhibition exploring the history of the club

Club House was built on the Dunham Estate with land being leased from the National Trust

Tennis, Mini Tennis and Swing Ball will be available to play on the Heritage Days

Socials and Tennis events take place throughout the year and not just in the Grass Court Season from May to September every year

Two Grass Courts are maintained by Members with a Cutting Rota and Work Party Days

Maintaining the courts has become more difficult in recent years due to Changes in the Climate but with good equipment and watering systems and a strong team of volunteers the courts remain in good order and can be played on during the Heritage days

Boundary Fencing and landscaping is an ongoing project

Dunham Lawn Tennis Club is situated in the heart of Dunham Town and has a 10 panel exhibition exploring the last 105 years of the Club and will be serving refreshments and also will have tennis and mini tennis available to play on the day. In recent years the Tennis Club has completed renovations to renew exterior boundary fences (2 1/2 of 4 sides), add electricity and wifi to allow streaming of Tennis Major events at Club socials.

Accessibility details

Please note the tennis club can only be accessed on foot from the Car Park via a dirt track which sits on a slight incline with the track winding through a wood for about 50 metres.
