Every Day History at Alton Heritage Day

This will be Alton's second Heritage Day, taking place on Saturday 12th September at Alton Assembly Rooms.
Many people take advantage of the ‘Heritage Open Days’ that are held in
September and are FREE. According to the heritageopendays.org.uk web site – these events are part of
‘England’s largest festival of history and culture’.
The Heritage Open Day theme this year is ‘Everyday Histories’ which looks at local communities through
the ages and the daily lives of local people. Alton has a rich and varied history to share with its community.
You are invited to visit the stands of local clubs, groups and societies and find out more about their rich history and how that relates to their focus today.
