Directions:
Free National Trust car park located directly below Mow Cop Castle. The approach via local roads involves a steep, narrow hill with limited passing spaces. Take care with satellite navigation to avoid private residential drives - please drive respectfully through the village.

Unfortunately this event is not suitable for wheelchair users, people with limited mobility or pushchairs. The paths are rocky and involve uphill, and downhill, stretches.

Additional information

No toilets or refreshments are available on the route so bring water with you. Refreshments, including lunch, is available at nearby Ash Inn. Walking boots or shoes recommended as the terrain can be rough. Uphill, and downhill, stretches are involved so bring walking poles if you use them. Dress appropriately for the prevailing weather conditions. It can be windy on the top so layers recommended.
