Forgotten Generations - Lest We Forget- Showcase Day at Wednesbury Museum
Holyhead Road, Wednesbury, West Midlands, WS10 7DF
Join us for a special open day and showcase with displays, demonstrations and talks to run alongside the Lest We Forget exhibition which follows the stories of 7 Black Veterans who have serviced in the British armed forces from World War II onwards.
The Forgotten Generations, led by founder and CEO Donald Campbell was established to celebrate Black History and the experiences and lives of Black British people whose stories might otherwise be forgotten. The Forgotten Generations received a grant in 2025 to commemorate the contribution of seven black veterans (including Donald Campbell), featuring two World War Two veterans, to the Royal Air Force spanning careers from recruitment during the Second World War to retirement in 2011. As a lasting legacy, The Lest We Forget Project has also produced this extension to The Forgotten Generations website, featuring online materials explaining how the careers of the seven veterans fit into the history of the RAF as a whole since 1918.
