6 Windsor Street, Bromsgrove, Worcestershire, B60 2BN

  • 17 Sep 2025
  • In person
  • Pre-booking not required

The chapel closed in 2013 and is sympathetically restored.

This Grade II Listed building has a Greek Revival style entrance with Doric columns and retains some original features. Sandstone blocks that were part of an earlier chapel are incorporated. It is now a busy martial arts academy. Highlights include a 1968 stained glass window by Hardman Studios commemorating the stained-glass artist A J Davies and the craftspeople of the Bromsgrove Guild, a WWI memorial board and 1890s decorative scripture tablets. Alterations and renovation work designed by local architect John Cotton were made in the 1880s. A history of the building will be on display. At the moment, following demolition of the adjacent site, it is possible to view both side elevations. Visitors are advised that shoes are not allowed on the martial arts floor mats. Tea, coffee and squash will be available. Please use the Windsor Street public car park.
