This historic fortification is currently being redeveloped into luxury apartments.

Unfortunately, due to uneven ground on the beach around Fort Gilkicker, this event is not suitable for wheelchairs or pushchairs. No parking is allowed within the Parish Centre grounds, please. On-road parking only. Toilets, including accessible ones, are available within St Mary's Church (opposite the Parish Centre) and also along the Stokes Bay route.
