Experience heritage differently through this multi-media event. Take part in immersive installations, listen to book readings and see how we use art and culture to access heritage and historic buildings in an exciting and dynamic way.
You will also have the chance to see other projects by the Sustainable Conservation Trust and learn why the preservation and sustainable reuse of historic and culturally significant buildings is so important.
This includes presentations about Fort Gilkicker at 1230, 1330, and 1430 in The Education Room.

Access to Keep of fort only. There are small steps in the keep that would not make the building accessible for wheelchair users. No wheelchair or pram/buggy access as steps into each room. Outside ground surface is pebble or cobble, inside is flat. Car park beside the Fort in Gunners Way, plus some on-road spaces nearby. The Range Store has car parking facilities, toilets and refreshments for customers Last entry to Fort Brockhurst at 1500, to allow for 1600 close.

Whilst at the fort, you might to look at period history displays by The Fort Cumberland Guard and also, Pompey Pals, happening throughout the day. Also, you could join a Guided Tour of the fort, hourly from 1115. Please note that last entry to the fort is at 1500 to allow for site closure at 1600.
