Georgian/ Victorian Rural Life in the Peak district

At Spencer's Yard, there is a reconstructed cottage and outbuildings, furnished and detailing village life in the Peak District during the mid-18th century. There will be costumed interpreters.
Early Victorian shepherd's hut on display with shepherds' tools and artefacts of the time. Old local shepherd's smock, kindly recently donated, on display in the Victorian Shepherd hut from the same date, late 19th century.)
Everyday working men and women's lives.

Accessibility details
On a slope and on uneven ground, so not wheelchair accessible. There are no toilets but the toilets will be open at the village hall, where there will be cakes and teas for sale.

Refreshments tea and cakes will be served in Moorend Cottage garden opposite the Yard.
