We will be opening on Sunday 21st September for an End of Summer Festival, bringing local businesses together to celebrate our incredible community. Grantham Museum aims to educate and inspire, with family-friendly activities and music.

We will be holding an end-of-summer festival at the museum, incorporating old-fashioned games, with fun family-friendly activities, crafts and food. It's the perfect chance for us to hold a celebration of all things heritage, where everyone in the community is invited to join us for a party!

We will be asking local businesses to host stalls, to sell food or locally produced items and to give them the opportunity to work as a community to raise money for us as a charity, and highlight the Heritage Open Days scheme. We also have local dramatic societies who are keen to dress up in historic costume to portray local historic figures, as well as a local folk band, who are keen to sing songs about folk tales of Lincolnshire and a CIC that hosts prehistoric craft workshops for all ages.

We have not been a part of HOD before, and so it's a way to jump in with a big event that shows we really are a community organisation that can provide fun activities for the family while educating and inspiring people with Grantham's rich history.
