Green's Windmill is a restored 19th Century tower mill, once home to mathematical physicist George Green. For Heritage Open Days, we'll be running a special exhibition about the mill's history using excerpts from our extensive archive. In the adjacent science centre, discover the remarkable story of Green and experiment with the things that fascinated him, such as light, electricity and magnetism. After your visit, climb the windmill and discover how grain is turned into flour and explore the award-winning community garden, much like a typical garden from Green's Day. There's something for all the family!
