Guided tour led by a volunteer site guide describing the development of the Priory and woodland gardens and with reference to changes to it's uses over time

Members of the public will be guided around the Priory site and neighbouring woodland garden and will see how the religious site changed following the dissolution into a private garden. There will be a chance to view different plans and photographs to illustrate the walk and demonstrate how the garden developed over time. There will be an opportunity to compare previous gardens with those which exist today and to compare the differences in working practices over the years, and how the uses of garden evolved over the years.

The site has a main path and a grass access leading to the main Priory site and to uneven paths and exposed tree roots in the woodland area. There is an accessible composting toilet in the woodland.

Additional information

The Priory and woodland garden is run by volunteers and is open from Wednesday to Sunday from 10am to 4pm each of these days.
