Heritage Open Days are observed in September every year as a celebration of England’s rich culture and history. It’s the country’s largest festival that brings together over 2,500 organisations every year. During this observation, the doors of historical monuments and buildings, are left open to the public.

We are delighted to join in the festival and will be hosting the Hurst Castle Heritage Day on Saturday 19th September 2026.

For this day only, entrance to the castle will be free to all visitors – please note ferry charges, if using, will still apply.

You can expect all the castle has to offer plus a family trail and activities to celebrate the castle’s heritage and unique location.
