Explore the historic Black Shed in Newport as part of Heritage Open Days on Saturday 12 September. Free entry – all welcome.

As part of the Heritage Open Days celebrations, the historic Black Shed in Newport will be opening its doors to the public. This is a special opportunity for visitors to explore this unique building and learn more about its history and its connection to Newport’s local heritage.

Throughout the day, members of the public are warmly invited to come inside the Black Shed and take a look around a building that is not always open to visitors. Guests will be able to discover the history of the site and gain an insight into its past and its importance to the local area.

Staff and volunteers will be on hand to welcome visitors, answer questions, and share interesting stories about the Black Shed and Newport’s heritage. Information displays may also be available to help bring the history of the building and its surroundings to life.

Whether you are interested in local history, heritage sites, or simply curious to see inside this distinctive building, everyone is welcome to attend.
