Explore the historic Guildhall in Newport as part of Heritage Open Days on Saturday 12 September. Free entry – all welcome.

As part of the Heritage Open Days celebrations, the historic Guildhall in Newport will be opening its doors to the public. This is a special opportunity for visitors to explore one of the city’s most important civic buildings and learn more about its history and role within the community.

Throughout the day, members of the public are warmly invited to come inside the Guildhall and look around areas of the building that are not always open to visitors. Guests will be able to admire the architecture, discover the history of the building, and gain an insight into how the Guildhall has been used over the years.

Staff and volunteers will be on hand to welcome visitors, answer questions, and share interesting stories about the building’s past and present. Information displays may also be available to help bring the history of the Guildhall to life.

Whether you are interested in local history, architecture, or simply curious to see inside this historic landmark, everyone is welcome to attend.
