Visitors will also be able to enjoy a full programme of entertainment including archery, fire breathing, storytelling and Viking battle re-enactments.
Hertford Castle is a magnificent Grade I listed building, which dates from the mid-15th century. It is situated in beautiful grounds, nestled at the heart of Hertford, and was a Royal Palace for over 300 years where Queen Elizabeth I spent much of her childhood. The Hertford Castle Gatehouse is all that remains of Hertford Castle, but this impressive building can be explored as part of the event including the Mayor’s Parlour, Robing Room and themed basement.
