This is an opportunity to learn about one of the "hidden gems" in the city of Leeds - a Grade II Listed Building in Headingley, originally built in the late 1860s as the Wesley College. In the 1960s it became a convent occupied by the Little Sisters of the Poor. Since 1999, when it was renamed Hinsley Hall, the building has been home to the Pastoral and Conference Centre of the Catholic Diocese of Leeds, and to the Diocesan Offices. The Centre's residential facilities, comprising over fifty ensuite bedrooms, are open to the general pubic and are a popular destination for visitors to Leeds. The tour will explore the building's origins, history and development over the past 150 years.
