How to Build a Cemetery
Wombwell Cemetery, Cemetery Road, Wombwell, Barnsley, South Yorkshire, S73 8HY
“For some years, the want of a cemetery in Wombwell has been greatly felt. The only burial-place for the township is at Darfield. The parish now numbers over 5,000 and is rapidly increasing. The Board of Health have taken the matter up, and the want is about to be supplied.”
– Barnsley Chronicle, August 1867.
