Howdenshire’s Fascinating Archaeology

Join members of the Howdenshire Archaeological Society at this drop-in event.
There will be displays showing the nature of, and findings from, current and previous archaeological investigations - including West Cowick Windmill, Hook moated manor site and our current excavation on the site of a lost medieval chapel.
On the day you will have the opportunity to handle finds, find out about archaeological techniques, and discuss excavation opportunities with our friendly members. There will be a short talk at 1230 on the work of the Society and how you can take part.
