Learn about the archaeology and history of local sites – from medieval manors to a Victorian corn mill.

Join members of the Howdenshire Archaeological Society at this drop-in event.

Displays will show the nature of, and findings from, current and previous archaeological investigations - including West Cowick Windmill, work at Hook and on local moated manor sites. Talks, at 1230 and 1400, will include current excavations and medieval moated manor sites in East Yorkshire. You will have the opportunity to handle finds, find out about archaeological techniques, and discuss excavation opportunities with our friendly members.
