In A Pykerell
Pykerells House, St. Marys Plain, Norwich, Norfolk, NR3 3AF
Norfolk Archaeological Trust purchased the building in 1931 to prevent it being demolished in Norwich Slum Clearance Scheme, it went on to be badly damaged in WWII bombing raids. It has been privately tenanted since it's restoration after the war, but the tenant has agreed to allow visitors for the Heritage Open Day celebration 2025.
With respect for the tenant our visitors will have access to 2 rooms within the house, and the tenant who is most knowledgeable about this property will give talks of it's history, previously known as Pilgrims Hall and Old Rosemary Tavern.
