Isaacs & Isaac Lord Machine Room Tours
7 Wherry Quay, Ipswich, Suffolk, IP4 1AS
When you enter Isaacs on the Quay, you’re taking a step back into history, with much of the building dating back to the early 15c to late 18c. As you enter the different areas of the building, you'll notice that it boasts many of its original historical features, with each room having its own story to tell.
Join us on Wednesday 17 September and Thursday 18 September and learn more about the history of our site. During your tour, you will also get the chance to see our carefully restored corn-dressing machine, a rare survival of an 18 century hand-malting concern in action – something which isn’t normally open to the public.
The Grade I and Grade II* listed site is now an active bar, café, restaurant, wedding venue, private function facility and guest house but its history remains very much at its heart.
Before your tour begins, please make your way to the designated meeting area, which will be situated by the main glass doors at the front of Isaacs.
Our Coffee Tavern will be open from 8:00am, serving an array of hot and cold drinks and breakfast items. Tour visitors are welcome to grab a drink before or after their tour and further enjoy the ambience of Isaacs.
