Jordans Mill Heritage Tour
Jordans Mill, Langford Road, Biggleswade, Bedfordshire, SG18 9JY
At Jordans Mill you can step back in time during your tour of our historic flour Mill, home to the Jordan family since 1893. Discover how the family overcame near tragedy after two devastating fires and witness the mill’s original machinery brought to life.
Our 19th-century Mill is dramatically divided by a stunning floor-to-ceiling glass screen, separating the working mill from a contemporary display area. During your visit, our knowledgeable and friendly guides will demonstrate the machinery in action and share fascinating stories of the Jordan family's journey, from humble millers to pioneers of the breakfast cereal industry.
Watch as our historic machinery whirs into life and see how grain is milled. This rare glimpse into the past is hands-on, fun, and educational for all ages!
Young history buffs can get stuck into our Children’s Mill Trail, a free activity leaflet packed with questions, dot-to-dots, colouring, fun facts and things to spot along the tour.
Don’t forget to explore the beautifully designed Mill Gardens, inspired by the area’s rich market gardening heritage, where ornamental flowers grow alongside vegetables, herbs, cereal crops and fruit.
No visit is complete without a stop at the Riverside Café, where you can relax with refreshments beside the tranquil River Ivel. Be sure to browse the Mill Shop before you leave for local gifts, seasonal treats, and your favourite Jordans Cereals.
