Leeds Photography Walk - City Centre & Holbeck
Black Prince Statue, City Square, Leeds, West Yorkshire, LS1 2HA
A walk to explore some of the many photographic opportunities in an area of Leeds where there have recently been huge changes, but where heritage sits side by side with modern development. We will be exploring parts of Leeds City Centre and Holbeck, and making stops to photograph some heritage sites.
This walk is led by Leeds Civic Trust photography group volunteers, who have worked on our latest exhibition ‘Making Things Happen: Leeds Development Corporation 1988-1995’. This exhibition features ‘now and then’ shots of Leeds from 30 years ago, alongside the same locations today. During this walk, our volunteers will share what they have learned about the area and capturing their own photography from this exclusive photography collection.
Our photography stops include:
• Wagon Hoist Museum
• The Junction linear garden
• The River Aire
• The Leeds - Liverpool canal
• Tower Works
• and many more interesting viewpoints…
EQUIPMENT: You will need to bring your own camera for this walk. This could simple be a smartphone camera, or you can bring a professional camera.
