Dave from the RSPB invites you to a special talk for Heritage Week

Join us for an insightful and engaging talk from Dave of the RSPB, who works as a fire ranger at Dovestones. With many years of experience helping to care for and protect this unique upland landscape, Dave will share his personal stories and reflections from this summer, including a series of video blogs capturing his work in action.

Our yard sits close to these moors, a landscape shaped over generations by both nature and people. As well as being rich in wildlife, the moors form part of our local heritage, telling the story of how people have lived and worked in this environment over time.

Dave’s talk will offer a fascinating opportunity to learn how this historic landscape is managed today, the challenges it faces in dry conditions, and the vital role of fire management in protecting both nature and heritage.

We hope you can join us for what promises to be a thoughtful and inspiring event.
