A walk around Liskeard town centre stopping at 16 buildings designed by local architect John Sansom to hear stories of their previous occupants.

Architect John Sansom designed many buildings in Liskeard and the surrounding district including shops, inns and family homes. Research into those buildings in the town centre have revealed a peek into the lives of the people who lived and or worked within them, in times long gone. Their stories will be shared during short stops by Brian Oldham, President Liskeard Old Cornwall Society and a Bard of Gorsedh Kernow.

The walk is for only one mile along paved streets; will last about one and a half hours, but with many opportunities to depart earlier.

Westbourne Car Park, West Street, Liskeard, PL146BW is a ten-minute walk away. Cut through Pigmeadow Lane and Webbs House is just to your left when at the pedestrian crossing.

The walk is approx 1 mile and will last about 1.5 hours with stops at several sites. There will be many opportunities to depart earlier if you need.

The route will have some short uphill sections. In the event of inclement weather a decision will be made on the day whether to proceed, but dress according to the Met Office forecast.
