This elegant yellow brick building was built on the site of the nave of the church of St James in 1859. The architect was JA Hillam. Early English-style lancet windows in cement punctuate the yellow brick Dutch-style gable. Pevsner describes this as an Italianate fashion. The gallery inside has iron columns with Corinthian capitals (the topmost parts of the columns). This is a fine building inside and out.
There is a service at 10.30 which everyone is welcome to join.
