Beyond the garden gates, discover 1,400 acres of parkland, woodland and moorland, home to Lyme's iconic deer herd, historic landmarks and far-reaching views across the Peak District.
For Heritage Open Day 2026 from 12-3pm we're opening the doors of one of Lyme's most iconic landmarks. Originally built as a hunting lodge and later used to hold poachers, The Cage offer a fascinating glimpse into Lyme's history. Join our volunteers and step inside.
With so much to see and experience across the estate, Lyme is a place to explore at your own pace and discover what makes place so treasured by generations of visitors.

We expect the car park to be busy, please consider arriving outside of the peak times 11am-2pm or utilise public transport for your journey to Lyme. We are a short walk from Disley train station and the A6 bus route, visitors can utilise our minibus service from the admissions kiosk for moving around site. Once you're here visit the information kiosk or ticket office to speak to a member of the team about what's on! Whether you’ve not visited in a while, or never visited before we can’t wait to welcome you to Lyme.
