Drop in to St Bernard's Hub with your memories and stories of living in Larches, Savick and Lea. Discover the area in the past and help us to record the history of the future.

The area to the west of Preston off Blackpool Road has been been developed for housing for the past 80 years, with new estates bringing people into the area. The oldest is the Larches housing estate, built after the Second World War to provide much needed homes in Preston. Estates in Savick and Lea followed.

The success of the history walks and talks at The MET in Larches over the past two summers has highlighted the traces of the past all around us. Now we want to capture the memories of people of all ages who live in the area or were brought up here.

Drop in to the Community Hub in Larches with stories of where you used to play? Where did you go to school? How did you spend your spare time? Where did you work and how did you get there? There'll be maps and photos to prompt your memories, a chance to chat and teas and coffees available.
