Come and see the Middleport Pottery Archive Collection! Not open to the public, learn about the objects we have and how we care for them. Special for this year - A display of letters from Absalom Reade Wood, architect of Middleport Pottery!

In this 45 minute session you will get to visit our collection store, in our Harper Street premises, directly across from Middleport Pottery. Here you will be taken round by our amazing collection volunteers who will show you some of the amazing objects we have that are not currently on display, including showing you some of their favourites!
The team will them also show you some of the ways we care for and document our collection in this true behind the curtain look at the Middleport Pottery Collection.
Special for this year, you we be able to view handwritten letters from the architect of Middleport Pottery, Absalom Reade Wood. These letters were recently discovered in our collection, and you will be the first members of the public to get a chance to see them!

Anyone under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. No food or drink is allowed in the collection store, although it can be left in a nearby secure area. Please complete the booking form via the link to complete your booking. On arrival you will need to check in with Middleport Pottery Visitor Reception, where you will be met by one of the Collections Team, who will take you to our Collection and Archival Store.
