Join us at Moseley Old Hall for Heritage Open Days on Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 September, with free admission for all visitors.
Step inside this remarkable 17th-century farmhouse and discover the dramatic story of King Charles II, who hid here from Cromwell’s troops after fleeing the Battle of Worcester in 1651. Explore the historic rooms where events unfolded, see the bed on which the King slept and the priest hole where he concealed himself, and hear fascinating stories from our knowledgeable guides and costumed interpreters.
In the gardens, celebrate the apple harvest with heritage varieties of apples, pears, quinces and medlars. Sample different apple varieties, enjoy freshly pressed apple juice and purchase your favourites to take home.
Take time to explore the beautiful grounds, including the knot garden, Stablecroft and woodland, where families can enjoy den building and discover the tree-hide. Visitors can also relax in the tea room, serving homemade cakes, biscuits and light lunches.
A wonderful opportunity to explore one of Staffordshire’s most fascinating historic houses and enjoy a great family day out, free of charge.
No booking needed. Free entry all weekend. Small charge for purchase of apples - cash only.
