A tour of the house and garden

This grade II* listed house was built in 1897 and is set in 21 acres of grounds. The house was designed by C.A. Voysey for Reverend Leighton Crane and was further extended by him in 1903 for a subsequent owner. Voysey was an architect and designer of furniture and textiles, who was renowned for his Arts and Crafts style. The house interior shows his attention to detail and the restoration by the present owners has been done with great care. With 21 acres of beautiful walking paths, trees, rhododendrons and a walled garden with glass house. The owners say it has been an exciting adventure to bring this garden back to life.
It is not suitable for wheelchair users. No photos inside the house please.

Someone will be there to take you to the house. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to tour as they will start promptly.

Tickets together with Visitor Information, will be available in person at Godalming Town Council Offices starting on 22 August at 10am until 12.30 but any tickets unallocated will continue to be available in the Council Offices between 10am and 3pm Monday to Friday. There is no telephone or email booking

No dogs are permitted. No smoking in house or garden. Photos only in the garden and hall entrance, not permitted in rest of the house to respect privacy of owners. Children must be supervised at all times. Follow the pathways, stay with the guide at all times and do not wander off. Wear suitable footwear especially if wet. Be mindful of wildlife that may be in the garden, ticks may be found at the property during certain seasons so please be mindful of this. Their are active beehives at the property so bees may be about. Please take heed of the Visitor Information accompanying your tickets.
