Heritage Day is our annual invitation to visitors to pause, look around and discover the stories that shaped our communities both here in Fulneck and across the world. Hear stories of people who continue to shape our world wide Moravian communities

Visit this unique historical village and experience stepping back into Georgian times. Imagine the sounds of the horse-drawn carriages delivering their visitors, experience a fascinating tour and discover the development of the buildings established in the 1740s.

The Settlement is situated on a hillside overlooking a deep valley, offering picturesque views on the guided tours, This year,the exhibition in the church, celebrates not only the history preserved in this Georgian settlement but also the gathered stories of those who keep our shared history alive .These present day characters are the living threads that connect the past to the present and the future. Today is a chance to hear their voices ,the stories of people who give their time to keep traditions relevant and help our communities flourish,
Visit the folk museum and view a new exhibition showcasing many aspects of Fulneck School. ,Dip into the termly report of Diana Rigg. Give yourself plenty of time to fully appreciate this gem set on a beautiful hillside and then come along to relax and enjoy homemade sandwiches and cakes served throughout the day. The extensive archive collection will also be open to view and tours of the Settlement will be run throughout the day. New event for CHILDREN to explore. Discover amazing stories and the strange event on Christmas eve as you follow the Trail which begins at the entrance, collect your booklet from the church .There are so many fascinating things to explore.

Tickets for each tour are available from the middle main church door. Tours start at 11.00 ,12 noon ,13.00, 14.00, and 15.00. Be sure to give plenty of time for the 45 minute tour, browsing the museum, discovering amazing stories of every day lives in the exhibition found in the church and viewing the extensive archives. The trail along Fulneck is well worth following and has lots of information for adults and children. This is a great day out and we welcome you to visit this unique place.

Accessibility details

There are a few steps to the indoor refreshments, care should be taken as the road passes through the village. There are uneven surfaces, slopes and steps through the village and during the tour .Appropriate footwear is necessary. There is a one way system through the village from Roker lane towards Bankhouse.

Additional information

There is a car park at the entrance to the village and at the far end of the village but only one disabled space is available in the settlement.The car parks close at 5pm.
