Do you have experience working in The Potteries, or a story to share about your connection with the ceramic history of Stoke-on-Trent?
Our Time, Our Place, Our Heritage is a research project created in partnership with Stoke Creates and the British Ceramics Biennial to investigate, map and capture the history of the city's industrial ceramic hand skills.
As part of this project, we are looking for people who have worked in Stoke-on-Trent's pottery factories or have grown up in the shadow of the bottle kilns and have stories to share.
We’re looking for stories about the mould-makers, slip-casters, fettlers, spongers, handlers, turners, modellers, kiln loaders and stokers, packers, tube-liners, painters, dippers, foot wipers, transferers, gilders, saggar makers, jolleyers, designers, chemists, electricians, buyers, drivers, office staff and the communities they were a part of.
