Visit a striking Grade I listed Victorian church building by G.E. Street, with Oxford Movement interiors, now a world renowned study centre for scholars from the Global South.

St Philip & St James Church – Home of the Oxford Centre for Mission Studies (OCMS).

Step inside a Grade I listed Victorian masterpiece by renowned architect G.E. Street, originally built for the Anglican Oxford Movement in the 19th century. This striking Gothic Revival church features richly detailed interiors that reflect the theological and artistic ideals of the Movement, which sought to renew the Church of England with ancient liturgical traditions.

Since 1983, the building has been home to the Oxford Centre for Mission Studies (OCMS), a unique academic community supporting postgraduate scholars—primarily from the Global South—who are engaged in research that serves churches and communities around the world. Visitors will have a chance to explore this beautifully preserved space, including its vaulted chapel, stained glass, and 18,000-volume academic library.

Join us to discover how a historic sacred space continues to inspire new generations of global Christian leaders.
