Oxton Guided History Walk - Arno

A walk involving early agricultural practices, brickmaking, cast iron manufacture and a landmark pub; a Neolithic axe and a hoard of Roman coins. We also visit a much loved rose garden and discuss the lives of a sugar manufacturer and his art collection and a racecourse owner and local benefactor.

Accessibility details

Limited Disabled Access - most of the walk is on pavements some of which are very narrow and uneven with roads and kerbs to negotiate. There is also a steep hill at one point. Similar walks are held throughout the summer. Please see the Oxton Society website www.theoxtonsociety.co.uk
