A walk involving the early development of Birkenhead as it expanded, including the work of the architects Charles Reed, Walter Scott and Edmund Kirby. Also includes a secret garden, the lives of Everest climbers, a significant art collector, an Australian author and Europe’s first trams.

Limited Disabled Access most of the walk is on pavements some of which are very narrow and uneven with roads and kerbs to negotiate
