Discover Painshill’s Kitchen & Walled Gardens on Sun 14 Sept for Heritage Open Days 2025. Enjoy archive displays, kids’ activities, gin tasting, fresh produce, and more. Free entry; landscape tickets sold separately.

Come and join us on Sunday 14th September as we open the doors to our Kitchen Garden and lesser explored Walled Garden for Heritage Open Days 2025. Entry is free, and Painshill will be open as usual should you wish to purchase tickets to explore the wider landscape. **PLEASE NOTE: Due to the forecast wet weather we will be moving some events inside to our Education building.**

Visitors can enjoy:
Access to the John Bartram Heritage Collection
A curated display from the Painshill archive
An 18th-century themed children’s area
The chance to ‘Ask a Gardener’ with a member of our Landscape team available throughout the morning
Kitchen Garden gin tasting sessions
Our produce stall, offering freshly grown organic veg (while stocks last)
Encounters with special guests from Painshill past!

Good to know:
Free parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis
The Kitchen Garden is gravelled; the Walled Garden has accessible entry/exit
Toilets, including accessible facilities, are in the Walled Garden
Drinks and light snacks will be available to purchase
No chairs or picnicking in the gardens due to space restrictions
No booking required for this event
Please note that entry to the main Painshill landscape (including the Grotto, follies and Tea Room) is not included in this event and that tickets must be purchased if you wish to visit these areas
At busy times we may pause entry to the Kitchen Garden for safety
