Partridge House, Wrecclesham
Partridge House, 102 The Street, Wrecclesham, Farnham, Surrey, GU10 4QR
Partridge House is a Grade II Listed Building, the oldest part of which is believed to have been built in the early 15th century. Two bays remain of an open hall house with a crown post roof. The missing bays are replaced with 18th century additions. Soot blackened trusses are visible, plus an open section of wattle and daub. The brick floor is thought to have been laid over the dirt floor about 400 years ago. It was a pub called The Dog and Partridge, one of many 19th-century pubs in Wrecclesham, when the village was a centre for hop growing.
Partridge House is a private house not normally open to the public.
