Discover the stories behind Perennial's York Gate Garden with a welcome talk and exclusive tours with York Gate's gardeners.

York Gate is a magical one-acre garden in Adel, near Leeds with Grade II National Heritage Status, inspired by the Arts and Crafts movement.
The garden was generously given to Perennial by the Spencer family in 1994. Perennial is the UK’s only charity supporting everyone working in or retired from the horticultural community. Expert services support physical and mental wellbeing, financial support and career development and training. By offering the right support at the right time, Perennial helps to build better lives for all those in horticulture, as it has done for over 185 years.

Following a short introduction and welcome, join us for tours of the garden, meadow, and propagation area, led by the York Gate gardeners. A chance to see both the heritage of the garden and how the staff work to maintain and develop a historically significant garden day to day.
