Polish Heritage Tour in Liverpool

Are you interested in local history?
Did you know that there was Polish School of Architecture in Liverpool during WWII?
Or that the very first game between England v Poland took place at Everton grounds?
Would you like to find out more about the links between Poland and Liverpool?
For many years now, there has been an established Polish community both living and working right here in Liverpool, and the Poles along with other communities have played a major role in helping make Liverpool the city we know and love today. Those stories are still often hidden in the archives, and we want to welcome you to explore them with us. At Merseyside Polonia, we have put together a walking tour of Liverpool, starting at Abercromby Square and ending at The Pier Head, showcasing many of the great sites and landmarks of the city and drawing together the links between Poland and Liverpool along the way.

University of Liverpool School of Architecture, 8-14 Abercromby Square, Liverpool, Merseyside, L69 7WZ

Directions:

We will meet on the corner of Bedford Street North and Oxford Street facing Abercromby Square. From there we will walk through street of Liverpool City Centre, stopping at various locations. The Bluecoat will be our comfort break half way through the walk, and then we will continue to the waterfront, Pier Head. Please wear comfortable shoes and bring water to drink!
