It's the people that make Pontefract and the blue plaques celebrate some of the individuals that have made a contribution to the town over a 700 year period. People from all walks of life are commemorated; on more than a dozen blue plaques; from the most humble beginnings to individuals of great power and wealth. From creators and entrepreneurs, those renowned for their skills, the world famous round here to the nationally known.
