Port Stories - projection mapping workshop
36 High Street, Shoreham-by-Sea, West Sussex, BN43 5DA
Join us for a free, creative workshop where we’ll explore the living history of Shoreham Port through the exciting medium of projection mapping.
Using archive film footage provided by Screen Archive South East, alongside new photos and videos created through the Port Stories project, we’ll re-mix past and present to create an immersive visual installation. Participants will learn how to use video mapping software to project moving images and animations onto a 3D sculpture, which we’ll build together on the day.
All materials are provided, and no experience is necessary.
This workshop is suitable for all ages – children must be accompanied by an adult.
The session will be led by David Parker from Figment Arts – an artist and creative facilitator who specialises in participatory arts projects. Figment Arts works with people to make art about the places we live. They run creative workshops that bring people together, have fun, and make something they’re proud of.
Figment Arts is being funded by Historic England’s Everyday Heritage grant programme, celebrating working class histories.
