The Church will be open with guides for visitors to view an exhibition of the recently restored and relocated Grade II Star Listed Organ built by Robert Postill of York and installed around 1870.

With help from the Heritage Lottery and other contributors St.John's church organ has been restored and relocated to a mezzanine. The works have been part of a project to provide facilities to enable wider use of the building. The space created by relocation has been taken by new storage and meeting space and kitchen facilities. Plans are in hand for new toilet facilities and a new entrance.
Visitors will be able to view the organ and a display explaining its history, operations and the work of the local restorer, J.Lightbown and Sons of North Shields.
