Railways, Investments and Architecture - on the Trail of the Financial History of Leeds
Wagon Lifting Hoist Mini Museum, Tower Square, Wellington Place, Leeds, West Yorkshire, LS1 4AP
As part of the firm's 150th anniversary, Redmayne Bentley invite you to join a special history walk through Leeds. Led by Leeds historian Clifford Stead, the walk will take you from the railway boom of the 1800s to the 1970s, when the Leeds Stock Exchange closed its doors. Founded here in 1875, Redmayne Bentley has been part of the city’s financial story for generations.
We’ll start and finish at the newly opened Wagon Hoist Mini Museum, where the firm will also be showcasing historic ledgers and unique artefacts, carefully preserved by the firm's founder, John Redmayne.
