Ramsgate Festival of Sound 'Sonic Trail'

Taking inspiration from Heritage Open Days theme of 'Everyday Histories' , artists will create sound-based work to reflect past lives and local history in and around Ramsgate . As part of Ramsgate Festival of Sound, the Sonic Trail is a chance for people to walk around the town's streets and outdoor spaces and discover something fascinating about Ramsgate's rich heritage, through the medium of sound. The Sonic Trail will be at 8 different locations around town, and if a location is small , there may be a timed entry or you may have to wait to enter - full details via the website where you will also find the Sonic Trail map. Tickets on sale from July 15th and Festival kicks off on Thursday 10th September and Sonic Trails will be open to the public Friday 11th - Sunday 13th Sept from 12 - 4pm, FREE!

Accessibility details

At this time we do not know the locations for the Sonic Trail installations. We will post this info when we do but based on previous years a number of the venues are not accessible to wheelchairs due to locations being listed buildings . We are also unable to provide information regarding parking or toilets until we know specific locations. Please check our website for all these details nearer to the HOD event. For our main festival - concerts and performances - there are accessible toilets and refreshments available.
